ECS – Education & Cultural Society is a Non-Government Organization registered in the NGO Affairs Bureau of Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh and Joint Stock Companies & Firms, Bangladesh. The organization was established in 2010 with an aim to develop the wisdom of the people of our society. The motto of ECS is ‘To Makeover Minds’. ECS – Education & Cultural Society works with the vision to build an ignorance free society where every citizen will be well concerned about their rights and duties towards the society and will contribute to the development of the nation. ECS plays an integral role in the preservation and promotion of language studies and intercultural education in Bangladesh. Core thematic areas of ECS are education & human development, youth development, women empowerment, girls’ education, capacity building, awareness creation and training on gender, human rights and development, conservation & preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, conflict resolution and building peace, promoting economic, socio-cultural & political rights of the citizens, information, society and culture, ICT development & deployment for women and girls, networking, mentoring, public private sector participation for gender and development, international conferences, exchange programs, workshops & seminars. The scope of ECS activities is separated into four categories: i) Awareness building; ii) Academic or scholarly in nature; iii) Professional development and iv) Contributing to the society. All these categories aid the development and prosperity of the people of Bangladesh additionally include other activities which unambiguously target just that.
